Primer recommendations for late 40s please

Hi. I’m starting to get thread veins and some redness on my cheeks, chin and nose. I’m late 40s. I’d like something that can do some ‘plumping’ as well as help with the red. I currently use Pur concealer under my Bareminerals pressed powder foundation. I did buy a Clarins beauty balm but apart from smelling nice it doesn’t make any difference.

What would you suggest?

I’ve been using No7 Airbrush Primer since I first got it in a calendar last year. Not sure if it would help much with redness, but it definitely blurs fine lines. I love it and have been using it ever since.

For the redness I think you will need something green based - I put the dr jart colour corrector (cicapair) on after my primer, the green cancels out the redness. Primer I don't find helps with much plumpness if I'm honest but I already have very plump cheeks unfortunately, but anything collagen based (the nyx one is the cheapest to try I think!) should do the trick 😊

I agree that you need something tinted to help with the redness.
I use the ordinary high spreadability and although it doesn't stop redness I do find it really calms my skin.

I’m a bit younger but I have some redness and lots of fine lines. I use either the hourglass vanish primer but it’s a bit pricey - however it’s like silk on the skin! I also use the Charlotte Tilbury primer - I think it’s called something like invisible flawless poreless primer and it’s spf as well

Face base by Bobby brown. Smooths everything out, smells delish and adds a lovely glow.

*Bobbi Brown obviously

Thank you, I’ll have a look into all your suggestions. I’ve never used any Bobbi brown or Charlotte tilbury products - wonder if I can get samples before shelling out £££
