Comfortable and classy coord set for Xmas day

I’m looking for a comfortable and classy coord set to wear on Xmas day, trousers and a top. I don’t like dressing up overly formal on the day, but I do want to look put together and polished.

Saint & Sofia apartment pants (order one size down). Returns aren’t brilliant though so don’t order too much. Or could possibly get similar from John Lewis.
Not sure about a top but watching with interest. I absolutely love that look/outfit OP my ideal, simple and comfortable pair with sparkly earrings and maybe a nice necklace (job done cool, comfortable and effortless), but I was gobsmacked by the price then realised it was PJ’s.

I searched for 'button through black velour pyjamas women', if that helps.

I'd probably go for a silk shirt and some velvet pull on trousers, to make it seem less pj-ish by mixing fabrics.
I really like the pop of the leopard print shoes in your inspo pic - but I am very much in the leopard is a neutral camp.

@RitaSueandBobtwo I have the apartment pants and they are comfy and the look the OP wants. You are right that the returns policy is crap. Has put me off buying anything more.

Those pj's OP are gorgeous. Love the HM replica too and may grab. Last year I found a luxe gold / mustard set from Tu @ Sainsburys. Lots of comments. You'd never have guessed.

Sorry to hijack thread @TheRealKatnissEverdeen what footwear and jacket do you wear with your S&S trousers to smarten them up a bit (to be comfortable for a nice meal/few drinks)? Thanks

@RitaSueandBobtwo I can offer no gems of wisdom as I purchased to enable me to comfortable work from home and then do the school run without looking like I've been sleeping rough which has been my usual look.
So, I usually chuck them on with smart trainers, t-shirt and a blazer. Maybe some brogues could replace the trainers.
