Ugg boots or alternative?

Hi, are ugg boots worth the money? Or is there a good alternative? Ideally water resistant and suitable for wide feet.

Thank you

Ugg boots aren’t great in the rain but they’re amazing when it’s cold. You need two pairs of boots really.

Celtic & co do a waterproof sheepskin lined boot and made in Cornwall

They are worth the money but the classic sheepskin uggs are very much not waterproof

Justthisonce12 · 11/12/2022 18:03

So I live in mine, but I must admit they are ruined from going outside in them and of course the sheep skin on the soles gets flattened and is then less warm and effective. I’ve tried fluffing them up with the hairdryer didn’t really work.
I mean they are amazing, but it £200 a pair. I think these are gonna be my last ones.

I love my uggs because I live in them all year round - seriously!! The rocket dog ones are good quality but not as comfy imo.

I love my Ugg boots. Current ones been going strong for about 8yrs now. I wear them quite a bit over the winter months. They aren't waterproof though but they are super warm!

I have two pairs for the wedge Ugg boots. Absolutely love them. Wear them all the time in colder months.

Uggs for cold and dry weather, DMs for the rain. Happy feet all winter!

Lkydfju · 11/12/2022 20:25

i love mine and have been worth the money as I’ve looked after them so no mud or rain so have definitely needed other boots which generally aren’t at warm

I have had the black leather biker UGG boots for 10 years, they are getting a bit tatty and were a gift so not sure I could afford to replace them but they are so comfy and also fairly waterproof (water does leak in if you stand in a puddle for a long time but they don't let water in just in the rain).

As a PP said the sheepskin on the bottom of the inside wore away, I get sheepskin insoles from amazon and put those in, good as new!

When my boots do finally die I may look at some blundstones although not fluffy lined so will also need some thick socks!
