Boots at a winter wedding?

Is this acceptable? I'm wearing a long sleeved, mid calf length silk wrap dress, hat and was hoping to wear either a pair of black suede ankle boots with a little block heel or a pair of black leather knee length boots.

It's just started snowing here and I don't fancy standing around in strappy heels in December. Or will it look a bit odd? The wedding day is all in the one venue, so no travelling from church to reception but there will be photographs outdoors (will have warm wool coat to hand for those and hopefully will be warmed by alcohol!!) ❄️🥶

Yes! Sandals or something else could be more apt for summer so the ankle boots might be a nice way to make it more seasonal
