My Clarks boots hurt.

Last spring I bought some Orinoco 2 boots.. the size is correct, the leather is soft, but the back of the heels rub. I've tried padding them, but that didn't help. The shouldn't rub.. they fit well, but they do. I only wore them a couple of times as the weather was too good, but now..winter..
Any suggestions as to how I can break them in?!

I have the same boots and luckily always found them comfortable. I’d try wearing them with really thick socks for fairly short periods until things improve.

Do you have any family or friends with the same foot size? I had some Clark's boots which rubbed under the ankle bone. I asked my mum to wear them in and because she has different shaped feet she wore them inside for a week and they were then supple enough not to rub

Take them to a shoe repair place and have them stretched it’s about £5

You can get antiblister socks, they work

Put big plasters on the back of your heels for a few days while you break them in.
