Which would make a nicer gift?

My friend needs a pair of boots.I said I would buy them for her as a christmas present.I have seen two that fit my budget.
Which out of the two would make a nice gift?I thought give her a pair of boots she could wear with anything and don't look tacky.

Honestly, I'd ask your friend who has to wear them. Or give them to her with the receipt so that she can send them back if they don't fit, or work with her outfits if you would like them to be a surprise.
Its a lovely idea but a bit high risk!

First ones.

The styling is better on the first ones, but both are nice.
The uppers of the 2nd are better but I prefer the soles of the first.

The first ones I think. There’s something off about the second ones, maybe the proportions, but hard to tell from the photo. Agree try and get a gift receipt either way!
