Have always used Nivea which is pretty cheap and sometimes No 7, but have seen a few more expensive ones. Do you think there is a huge difference in the dearer ones or does it depend on skin type?

Nope. Scientifically there is little difference in most moisturizers.
Most contain water, glycerine, hyaluronic acid. All cheap as chips. All doing what they are supposed to- hydrate.
Vitamin C, vitamin A in the form of retinol, will make a difference.
I like some creams with essential oils etc in but I'm not kidding myself they are turning back time, lovely though they are (Neal's yard frankincense, L'Occitane Divine and Liz Earle Superskin are all beautiful creams and I occasionally treat myself) Likewise I love Lancome Hydra Zen.
Are any of these better than Nivea Q10 at £4.99. Nope.

Thanks , that is good to know. Just started with wearing a little bit of make up so a bit lost at times as to what is best

I think it depends on skin type. My skin is very fussy, oily, prone to breakouts etc., so I can't use anything that clogs pores. At the same time needs to be hydrating and nourishing, otherwise my skin looks like shit. I noticed the more natural, the better for my skin. I know it won't prevent wrinkles though, it's just about keeping my skin comfortable.
