Lifting flat hair on head? Roller's? What type? Cheap

Any ideas?

I afford expensive stuff but if there a heated roller type thing I could put in my hair to lift it off my head. It looks absolutely awful in photos especially as I've got a pudgy fat face now.

Some mousse in the roots and drying my hair with my head upside down (bent over, nothing acrobatic) works for me. It's much easier to get a lift when drying than it is after the fact but a hot brush might work for that.

I also make sure my shampoo is rinsed very well, shampoo twice and don't condition anywhere near the roots to stop anything weighing down the hair.

Best thing for volume is a Revlon one step.

Put some mousse on your hair and then blow dry it with that. Then wrap it in normal rollers to 'set'. Spray dry shampoo on it every night before bed.
