Apricot Dress Sizing - HELP!

Aargh!

I know I should have tried on my potential Christmas dresses before now (10 days before work Christmas party), but I've been in a bit of denial since starting on antidepressants and HRT this year. Have put on about a stone.

Now desperately searching for a dress to wear a week on Thursday. 'Dress to impress' is the theme.

I've found a few on Apricot and don't really want to order 2 different sizes (or even 3???). Are they true to size? The dresses I have are both size 10, one from Sainsbury's TU about 7 years ago and the other a random TK Maxx one even longer ago.

I really, really hate shopping, and our town has so few shops these days in any case, so going and trying things on isn't really an option.

Otherwise, any tips for getting into a dress in 10 days?? I mean I can actually get them both on and zipped, but wouldn't be able to eat in them (or even breathe comfortably to be fair...)

Thanks!!

Coming back on in case it ever helps anyone else, to say that the dresses were pretty true to size, or even slightly generous in sizing.
