Can you dye your hair with hairspray in it?

I always dye my hair at home was going to wash my hair yesterday and dye it tonight but LO was ill yesterday and id ran out of shampoo and I couldn't pop out to get any 🙈

I've had Hairspray in my hair, would you dye your hair thats had Hairspray in?

I would wash it first. I usually use box dye now, but my best results ever came from a slightly OCD hair stylist (by his own admission) who would give me a clarifying shampoo and rough blow dry before tinting. Since then, like you I shampoo before tinting although when I have a professional tint usually the stylist does not.

I'd just brush it out tbh
