Please dear mumsnetters help me

After these years not bothering much with skincare, it has finally caught up with me at 36. My skin is so dreadful. My eyelines are horrid and most of all my gigantic pores are the absolute worse.

can you recommend your best skincare products/where to buy.

also foundation recommendations also welcome.

feeling like a hag.

TIA all help greatly appreciated.

I have very specific skin care needs as I have sensitive skin and rosacea. But the best thing I've done recently is sign up to to dermatica. You send pictures in, give them a description of your issues and they prescribe you a formula. It's worked wonders for me. Excellent for signs of congestion and aging too

I've jist started using a brand called The Ordianry. They're great, reasonably ethical, cheap, and experts speak well of them.
They have a questionnaire you can fill in on their website asking your age and questions about your skin. Maybe check it out? I did it and am reaping the rewards after buying cleanser, 2 serums including a retinol, and moisturiser as they recommended.
I then got brows done and had a consultation for foundation and lippy and a few other bits.
I just use the hermes foundation which was given as a present, but will go back to Rimmel when it runs out. maybe see what a good department store make up person can recommend.
I do a skin mask thing once a week and exfoliate. Tea bags can help puffy eyes!

I concur. I’ve tried loads of things and some complicated routines but Dematica has been amazing. I also use Klairs Supple Preparation and a Vit C serum in the morning.

Getting some advice from a professional can save you money in the long run. I would think about getting a facial done by a good beauty therapist and getting their advice on products to use. I did this and changed to Guinot products which have completely changed my skin.

My foundation is currently a No. 7 one, I should probably take my own advice and get some recommendations on this though as I tend to stick to what I know!

Acid skin peels. Not as scary as they sound I promise.

Godsend.
