Wavy not curly hair method?

I've got fine wavy hair, which always looks a mess, plus I'm peri and I've coloured it, which doesn't help!

I've seen all the curly hair videos and they look so involved, and my hair isn't curly so its not going to respond in the same way.

Are there any wavy hair people I can follow on you-tube/instagram so I can find a method which works for me (and hopefully doesn't involve a 2 hour routine every 'wash day'?

Or just any advice in general?

I've not looked at any youtube videos on it, but have wavy hair.
I don't worry too much about shampoo but the conditioner makes a difference.
I don't always bother with shampoo.

Use a moisturising conditioner. The moisturising shampoo I used was expensive and was like using only a conditioner, so I'm not going to buy it again.
Wash your hair and squeeze then pat it dry. Use a wide-toothed comb and gently go through it, then wrap in a towel or turban, and leave that on for a bit.
Take it off and scrunch the hair into shape with your hands.

You can use curl creme, gel or mousse if you like. Don't comb it.
Hairdresser (who has curly hair) says make your own curl creme using half-and-half any conditioner and gel and scrunch into your hair.

If you use 'product' use a decent shampoo. I'm happy with boots own brand or alberto balsam or something. I think you can get herbal essence that is non-sulphate non-silicon in the pound shop.

As an occasional mask, I use coconut oil or castor oil. Leave it in for a bit before shampooing it out.

I never brush my hair despite straight haired relatives whoo have never had long hair telling me to

Anyone with CG hair will say y technique is bollox, but I do me.

Another wavy hair person. I use with noughty shampoo and conditioner or cantu shampoo and conditioner. The noughty is better for waves but I'm wavy bordering on curly and cantu brings out the curl.

Not tried noughty or cantu, but cantu gets recommended in S&B.

Bumping for more suggestions.
I only comb my hair in the shower when it's loaded with conditioner - that's one thing I've learnt many years ago!
Also I do currently 'make' my own hair cream mixing conditioner and hair oil and applying when wet, but it isn't the best thing I feel.

Try curl maven on Instagram, she has a blog which is helpful
mine is wavy. I wash it with bounce curl shampoo, condition with Aldi volume conditioner, brush that through and squish it a bit
then apply a mousse/foam and gel to hair, brush it through again and scrunch it
diffuse it and sleep on it and scrunch out any leftover crunchy bits in the morning. It sounds lengthy but the drying process is the main time consumer!
