Are YSL bags considered tacky or classic?

Have fallen in love with one - I’m due a bonus in February and want to treat myself.

They are considered fairly popular designer bags right now. A little bit all over social media but not particularly tacky. Only thing that would concern me is that as they are so popular right now and have been for the past few years, they may be on the wane a little and you may wish you had bought something less 'now'

Im a huge bag fan ( I have quite a few - Chanel, Dior etc ) and I have a couple of Ysl bags.

The quality is second to none and if you don't mind the Ysl branding then they are well worth looking at.

They do have bags with less branding on I think. I have a Lou Lou in green and I would love a college bag in ivory - it's next on my list!

I had one but sold it as it was grey and I wanted a lighter colour. They are bombproof and wear beautifully.

Which one are you looking at? Browns and flannels sometimes do codes ( 10 percent off etc ) have a look around as they can be slightly discounted depending on where you buy them from.

its (for me) a perfect weekend cross body and also evening option worn as a shorter shoulder bag but I’m concerned the logo is a bit in your face!

@pocketvenuss im hoping this design is less popular but I know exactly what you mean - I have some old mulberry’s that were classic at the time but are now very obviously of their time!

Ahhh the sunset bag 😍 I adore this bag. I also have a Kate which is smaller than the sunset and I find the logo really tasteful.

I really don't think you'd regret buying it, it's an utterly gorgeous bag.

The gold hardware on them is quite gold, they do different finishes ( such as a slightly worn gold, gunmetal etc ) but I think this hardware goes beautifully with the back leather.

I think they are cheap for the quality, they've had quite a price rise on the last couple of years though ( some bags as much as a £500 increase ) but I think it's well worth the money.

Have a look at browns and flannels for offers.

I don't know if you use fb but there is a page ( I'm a member of ) and the ladies on there are super knowledgable and can give wonderful advice . It's a lot of money I appreciate so sometimes it's nice to do a bit of research.

Very useful - the one I have seen had a worn gold chain so will make sure it’s that one I get if I order online as I didn’t realise - can’t tell if it’s the same as the one on the link!

That's fab and very neutral hardware too. It'll be subtle for everyday wear.

Yes I've bought from farfetch they have a good reputation.

Did you manage to find any codes for them? I love that bag - ha ha I've been looking at it too!

I buy new and preloved as the preloved ones are very often immaculate and come with an authenticity certificate - hence why I'm on those sorts of pages.
