Stop wearing foundation?

I've been wearing foundation since I was 14. Over the years I've spent thousands trying to find a one that is a good match for my skin and performs well. I've never found one that is both a great shade and formulation, so I'm ready to give up!

If you've given up wearing foundation do you have any advice? I know I need to find a great concealer for some redness around my nose and under eye dark circles. Probably need to switch to a cream blush as not sure how powder will perform on bare skin?
My skin is combination with a t zone that still gets very oily in the warmer months.

I don’t wear foundation. I use Trinny London’s just a touch under my eyes and on some blemishes on my face. It does the job brilliantly.

If you don't want to give it up entirely then you could try a mineral powder foundation? BareMinerals original powder foundation is lovely. Gives a very natural finish and looks like skin as opposed to foundation. Coverage is light so you won't have the typical foundation face.

I used to use foundation for the same areas as you. Over lockdown I stopped wearing it and the problems I was covering up seem to have nearly entirely gone away! I'm left wondering if the makeup was actually the problem. Can you try increasing your makeup free time, esp at weekends, holidays? I don't wear it at all now and my skin has never been happier.

The less you wear foundation the les you need it. I used to wear loooads of foundation with a big old tide mark round my chin but one day I went out makeup free and honestly felt a bit naked but I haven't worn it regularly since. Don't get me wrong I wear it for events but day to day nothing. My skin is tanned, spot free and great. Foundation only masks problems.. the sun and air definitely solves them
