As in previous years, this is a thread for all those opening beauty advent calendars not covered by specific threads, though happy for any to be posted here too. We’d also love to hear about other non-beauty calendars.

Only one ask please, do not disclose contents of calendars before 7am on the relevant day.

I’ll be opening the Liberty and Fortnum and Mason calendars. Possibly also Latest in Beauty, assuming it arrives on time.

Only two sleeps to go - looking forward to it!

A foot pumice?

Peridot1 · 04/12/2022 13:17

Or a konjac sponge?

InfinityOrUndefined · 04/12/2022 13:23

Yep it's probably konjak sponge. I found last year's contents and it was in the list. Now I need to find out what to do with it.

IAmTi · 04/12/2022 13:33

@Ponks That's lovely.

Giftwithpurchase · 04/12/2022 13:57

😂 @Housewife2010 - we were also very amused by the gravy pots this morning

Zeeza · 04/12/2022 14:44

The sponge will soften a bit with water, but not loads. It's good for exfoliating

@AprilLady I can’t even describe what the scent is like, it doesn’t remind me of anything I have smelt before - I will try and use it over next few days - I am determined to use everything I get instead of keeping them for late x

I love that Sol de Janeiro cream, probably prefer it to Bom Dia Bright.

The gravy pots in Degusta today made my OH laugh.

QueefofSheena · 04/12/2022 14:50

This was in Glossybox today. It reminds me of how older Dsis used to smell in her hippie days 😁

A psychic sisters rose quartz face roller in the ASOS one, apparently sells in selfridges for £20..had to Google to see what exactly I do with it 😂

Sephora was 75ml Sol Janeiro Beija Flor cream - not sure about the fragrance hopefully it will be nicer on and a green matcha tea in Pukka

I love that Sol Janeiro one..ordered a replacement on Black Friday deals for when I run out. It’s not as hydrating as the other scents but I love it. 😊

L’Occitane today was shampoo from the same almond range as the shower oil from the 1st, which I used yesterday and adored. Tomorrow is my next hair wash day so I’m hoping for the matching conditioner!

Stokey · 04/12/2022 17:42

Espa sleep serum in the JL today, which I'm interested to try, and Clinique moisture surge in Fenwick's. Pretty decent day for both.

The one I'm really loving though is Bonne Maman, we've already eaten through the first pot with a sourdough loaf and plenty of butter yesterday!

I agree, would be lively to have the almond conditioner too!

DameCelia · 04/12/2022 19:17

Day 4 on ByTerry was a full size illuminating CC serum primer. Lovely product and will definitely use it.

Isabelle70 · 04/12/2022 21:17

I brought the MAC calendar as an impulse purchase and so far it's all been listed on market place.
I knew there were a couple of lipsticks I wouldn't like but expected to like the other bits

Chocachocaholic · 04/12/2022 22:43

Todays Elle door was the murad intense recovery cream. Full size 50ml. Very happy with this, though never tried it before. Has anyone used it? It says online it's more like a balm. I don't really suffer with dry skin but wonder whether it's worth saving for holiday where my skin suffers when we are abroad?

Zeeza · 05/12/2022 03:29

I love the murad for this horrid winter weather. I slather it on and it stops my face feeling chapped.

Roundaboot · 05/12/2022 07:15

More chocolate salty balls from Degustabox! A Bounce energy ball today 😋

Nearlyadoctor · 05/12/2022 07:19

F&M door 5 - empty 😢. Has anyone else had this?
I will be contacting CS today.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 05/12/2022 07:21

Great day for HN! Dermalogica microfoliant (13g), Environ focus care youth+ mask (15ml), a voucher for an Environ facial AND a voucher for a Dermalogica facial!

LookdeepintotheAdvent · 05/12/2022 07:40

The Murad cream is excellent!

Full size high impact mascara in Clinique today.

DDs Body Shop was a tiny chamomile cleansing butter. Slightly bigger would have been good so she could give it a proper road test.

Another chocolate ball in Degustabox. Definitely a theme this year 😂

DameCelia · 05/12/2022 07:41

@CeeCeeDeeBee
Wow!
Environ facials a great btw

Ponks · 05/12/2022 07:56

No7 calendar has a black eyeliner, I know people normally grumble about these in advent calendars but I'm happy to try a new one. The best eyeliner I ever had came from an AC.
This one looks lovely and soft and has a smudger on the end.

AprilLady · 05/12/2022 08:09

Day 5:

F&M: A candle in F&M this time. Rigaud Cypress. Another new brand for me. Quite dinky (60g) but beautifully presented and smells lovely.

Liberty: Verden bath oil. Really looking forward to trying this. I mostly use Olverum and AA oils, so good to have something different.

LiB: Full size Vit C and Squalene face oil. Good but a bit meh. It takes me ages to use up face oil, and I prefer using Vit C serums.
