General beauty advent calendar opening thread - all welcome

As in previous years, this is a thread for all those opening beauty advent calendars not covered by specific threads, though happy for any to be posted here too. We’d also love to hear about other non-beauty calendars.

Only one ask please, do not disclose contents of calendars before 7am on the relevant day.

I’ll be opening the Liberty and Fortnum and Mason calendars. Possibly also Latest in Beauty, assuming it arrives on time.

Only two sleeps to go - looking forward to it!

Ha I thought it smelt like pledge on me too! Luckily I had only ordered a sample.

Body shop is rose shower gel.

I use the H&B olive oil soap on my pets as it’s very gentle, all natural and moisturising so I’m happy with that 😁

That’s excellent. My perfume was there, a bit of a disappointment at 1ml

Chocolate balls again in degusta which my toddler has run off with - will need major distraction techniques to retrieve them ... and a Bobbi Brown pot rouge lip & cheek in JL - lovely.

Day 3 in the Elle calendar today is aveda botanical leave in conditioner. Never used it but will at least get use out of it although it's only 25ml so that's a bit disappointing, Giving it a try tonight

Do you all get the same?

Sephora was 75ml Sol Janeiro Beija Flor cream - not sure about the fragrance hopefully it will be nicer on and a green matcha tea in Pukka

@kateandme - this thread is for people with various advent calendars so lots of people get different things.

Oh yes yes I no.i meant for those withthe same on here do you all get the same for each number.if that makes sense.so those with Elle for example- do all opening door 3 get the same inside?

Most do but the JL one was odd today. Some got Molton Brown shower gel and others got Bobbi Brown blusher. Obviously a mix up and the two items with Brown names led to confusion!

@kateandme yes, I’d you look at the single calendar threads like Liberty and Cult Beauty, they all get and discuss the same product everyday.

@loz12345 I’ve been curious about he scent of that Sol de Janeiro product as I think it’s their newest one. Hope it is better on for you.

@AprilLady I can’t even describe what the scent is like, it doesn’t remind me of anything I have smelt before - I will try and use it over next few days - I am determined to use everything I get instead of keeping them for late x

Scented candle in HN this morning. It smells ok but is tiny, and says 'gift not for resale' on the side, so a bit meh.

An ESPA night serum in JL today. Travel size. Good size for a weekend away with a bit more I’d say.

Chicken gravy stock pots in Degustabox! Bit of a duff one for us as we're a veggie household...I'll take them to the food bank.

Omg what is that calendar?! That sounds nice! A foodie one?

Some interesting things today, all travel size:

F&M is an Olverum body polish. I love the bath oil, but haven’t tried this before. Looking forward to doing so.

Liberty is a 70g candle from Carriere Freres. A new brand for me - scent is “Tomato” and that is exactly what it smells like. I like it, but I’m guessing it’s not everybody’s cup of tea.

LiB is the Summer Friday jet lag mask. I’ve had this before; not particularly exciting.

@IAmTi yes, it's a foodie one. We get it every year as a family one - loads of nice stuff! There are unboxings on YouTube if you want to take a look

Todays No7 is an eyeshadow trio - lovely, definitely my sort of thing .

Chamomile, Vanilla and Manila honey tea which I am looking forward to as I have a cold and Sephora has a Decleor neroli cleansing mousse 50ml so decent size - I won’t need to get a cleanser for a while as we are on day 4 and I have had 2 so far

The chicken gravy pots brought great amusement to my household this morning. We try and guess what’s behind the door and I don’t think if we had a million guesses each we’d have got it right.

H&B was a dragonfruit face scrub. Body Shop was a vitamin E face mask.

That makes 3 cleansers (2 face wash, 1 soap) in 4 days from H&B. I never understand why they don’t arrange the products to avoid repetition.

Does anyone have an idea what this is? I got it from last year's Bodyshop calendar.
