Need to find a nice perfume

DD2 would like a nice perfume for Christmas.
We have a family agreement where we try not to spend more than £50 on each other , but I'm happy to go over that.
She's 28, Mum to a toddler and deserves a bit of pampering, works wearing scrubs (no perfumes allowed) so it will be for non work times.

I know she likes J-Lo live, but would like to get her something different. She also likes Chanel .

I'm clueless.. I wear whatever the kids buy me .. help me out!

Givenchy L'Interdit is nice for special occasions. Quite seductive but not too sweet

Elie Saab Le Parfum is very feminine and usually appreciated

Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege is very spring like - floral and rather fresh but elegant

Fragrantica.com is a great help when researching perfume ideas

YSL Libre is lovely.

They have some good deals on at Superdrug at the moment.

I agree with everything in both posts above, and like all the perfumes mentioned. Elie Saab or Libre are really good suggestions.

I think any of the Chanels will be out of budget, unfortunately, but the best match could be Coco Mademoiselle.

You could try J'Adore by Dior, Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf or even Fantasy by Britney Spears. According to Fragrantica these are often liked by people who like J Lo Live.

Alien really is a divisive fragrance though. Personally I think it's seriously unpleasant and just SO strong. Far too jasmine heavy for my taste.

Of the Mugler fragrances I'd say Angel would be preferable, it's much less in your face and more wearable.

Look at Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. It always gets really good reviews, and if she likes a J-Lo one it seems like a natural progression...

I agree that SJP's Lovely is indeed lovely. That would be another option that's well within budget, it's great value.

Lost cherry is ok if you like that single scent thing but no way is it worth the price tag. Vanille fatale is gorgeous. I have that one, but i wear Vanillary from lush a lot more. Tom ford are so heavy to wear and i dont think its a brand where you should choose for others.

I think if she likes chanel then maybe a small bottle of chanel chance? Thats a good crowd pleaser.
I think that calvin klein perfumes are really good value.
Jo malone you can def get small bottles of. My current fave of theirs is orange blossom. I dont have it yet, only the Zara dupe.

Buying perfume for other people is very difficult.

I'd get her a small bottle of Chanel. It's a known opulent brand and will make her feel special every time she wears it.

Goodness me Chanel is more pricey than I thought, but this www.boots.com/chanel/chanel-ladies-fragrances/all-chanel-ladies-fragrance/chanel-chance-eau-de-parfum-spray-35ml-10059094 is only £5 over budget.

Coco mademoiselle you'll be my suggestion, it's pricey but I ALWAYS get compliments from both men and women (I'm not beautiful either so it's not that lol!)

I wonder if she would like one of the Victor & Rolf ones. Maybe Bonbon? Superdrug have 20% off them at the moment.

I don't know JLo Live but looked it up - seems to be heavily fruity which made me think of one of the Escada summer editions (take your pick, really).
