Just that really. Don't think husband likes it either and daughter cried when she saw me. Is it that bad?

I think it looks lovely. Your hair looks very healthy and is a beautiful colour.

Do it! Well, prepare for potential melt down like me mind! If it helps, here's up do messy bun with fringe. I would never have worm my hair up in public (apart from gym) for fear of extenuating the wrinkles but might do it now. Good luck with your hair endeavours!

Oooh! You look like Tinkerbelle!

foxlover47 · 27/11/2022 21:29

I think you look great with it :)

EmergencyPoncho · 27/11/2022 21:30

Sara Coxesque is only ever a good thing in my book! It looks great.

Prettypennies · 27/11/2022 21:33

Beautiful hair, love the fringe

Mariposista · 27/11/2022 21:43

It looms very smart and stylish.
How mean of your daughter. And your husband should be old and mature enough at least to lie and say you look great even if he doesn’t think it.

Bluerisotto · 27/11/2022 21:47

That looks really lovely!

Your daughter will get used to it

Haha I read that as fridge not fringe lol.

I think it looks nice.

Sweetpea1532 · 28/11/2022 00:23

I love it up! Looks very chic...you are rockin' that fringe@ilovelamp2

PinkArt · 28/11/2022 00:34

I love it. I think you'll like it even more in about 2 weeks when it's hitting the middle of your eyebrows - that's usually the sweet spot with mine!

CallieQ · 28/11/2022 00:53

Fishing?

Interviewnamechange · 28/11/2022 01:11

It looks very stylish. I think it’s probably because it just makes you look different that they put husband and daughter reacted in that way.

You look really nice.

DaisyChristina · 28/11/2022 01:38

I really like your fringe, I think it suits you. Lovely colour too.

They'll get over it!

IamEarthymama · 28/11/2022 01:44

You look fabulous!

I have been really down about my hair, post-menopausal thinning and long Covid effect on my skin, nails and hair. I wear it in a short pixie and have had a sideways parting for a long time.
DW has cut a fringe and some spiky locks and I feel much better.

My adult son came over and when I was moaning that I look dreadful at the moment he said, but you are beautiful Mum! Just like he did when he was a lovely little boy. My teenager daughter couldn’t abear me, fringe or no fringe, but as a stunning adult woman she is truly lovely to me.

Your daughter was just tired and emotional and I bet she says something nice soon.
Start Monday morning with a swing in your step and hold your beautifully be-fringed head high! 🌺

schoolsoutforever · 28/11/2022 20:41

I think it’s fine but (and please ignore me if you want), I think it would be ace with a sharp 60s bob, maybe with a few inches off the length of yours. I had this a few years ago with light blonde and I loved it. Might do it again…
Don’t worry though - it’s just the change that people don’t like.

Suboptimalsitch · 28/11/2022 21:44

It looks gorgeous imo. Give it a week or two and hopefully you'll get used to seeing yourself with a very new look. A fringe will make your whole face look very different.

WhereAreWeNow · 28/11/2022 21:49

I love it. I wish I could have a fringe like that (hair is too frizzy and wayward to behave).
