Just that really. Don't think husband likes it either and daughter cried when she saw me. Is it that bad?

I used to hate it when family members had a dramatic hair change and funny enough my DD is the same. I think your daughter will come around to it and get used to it. I think your hair looks nice and in a week or two your fringe will sit lower on your forehead skimming your eyes a bit more and even a few millimetres will really make a difference. It could be that the blow drying of the fringe is too curled and voluminous so I would try straighteners and less volume while it grows and this will help it cover your eyebrows more. It's not a bad haircut at all but I reckon a little bit more length on the fringe will be perfect.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 26/11/2022 23:17

I really like it. I can’t wear a fringe, it does any suit me.
Next time your dd has a hair cut, ball your eyes out.

BaggiesBride · 26/11/2022 23:17

You and your fringe look fab. Please stop worrying ❤️💐

Kalasbyxor · 26/11/2022 23:17

Great look, lovely with your hair colour and dark brows.

RefuseTheLies · 26/11/2022 23:21

It’s reassuring that your DH and DD noticed tho? I got a fringe like yours cut once and my husband didn’t realise until about a week later. More recently I shaved my head and my older DD rolled her eyes and asked what was for dinner.

That's a good point about letting it settle and grow just a smidge. Hairdresser did say it would take a few days to sit right - I forgot that in my temporary turmoil!

I think it looks nice. Husbands and kids can be very conservative when it comes to their wife/mum altering their appearance. You can safely ignore them.

Your daughter cried??!?

Does she have a phobia of Sara Cox?

😂😂😂

ilovelamp2 · 26/11/2022 23:23

It's uncanny!

It looks fab. I love fringes. My hair's too thin and flyaway now but I used to have one most of the time.

MarmiteCoriander · 26/11/2022 23:24

What was your fringe like before??? It looks fine OP.

Is it shock to your daughter because you were dark before and now its all bleached on the hair and you still have dark roots and eyebrows??? Sorry, I have no idea why an 11yr old would cry at seeing your hair? What was it like before? Do you have a before photo?

ilovelamp2 · 26/11/2022 23:29

This was before. I do need my roots doing though! Tomorrow's job.

I hate my new fringe. Photo included.

First time my daughter saw me in a fringe I think she was 5 or 6 and she hated it she said I looked too young and different.
She's similar age to your DD and even now says NOOOO when I ponder getting a fringe again out loud haha.
I think your hair was nice before but you do look younger with the fringe. Even with the white scribbles. :)

FluffySocks0 · 26/11/2022 23:33

I can't see a problem with it? I think it looks lovely :)

PurpleButterflyWings · 26/11/2022 23:37

Looked lovely before you had it cut, and it looks lovely now @ilovelamp2 Flowers

Cannot understand your daughter crying! Is she quite young-ish? Seems an odd and OTT reaction.

PurpleButterflyWings · 26/11/2022 23:39

Saw your daughter is 11. Sorry @ilovelamp2 Yes, a bit of an OTT reaction for an 11 year old!

JCoverdale · 26/11/2022 23:57

I think no-fringe is a very classic, timeless if slightly severe look , whereas a fringe makes people look a lot younger and sweeter, especially if they can grow a nice thick one like you have. ( and don't have a widow's peak creating a wispy thin fringe which does not look good.) I can see enough of you to see you are pretty and would suit it either way.

Flooper · 26/11/2022 23:59

I have to say whenever I see Sara Cox I think she should shake her look up a bit. She's had that fringe for at least 20 years.

DillDanding · 27/11/2022 00:33

I am not a fringe fan. But I can’t see anything wrong with yours. At least you have enough hair - they can look terrible on thin hair.

Agree re Sara Cox comments - her hair does nothing for her.

JackandVera · 27/11/2022 01:31

I like it and you might feel better when it is a bit longer. Always go longer first - you can take away but not add 😀

Sweetpea1532 · 27/11/2022 02:15

I love it! You have the perfect face shape to pull it off@ilovelamp2

DGay · 27/11/2022 02:16

I love your new haircut. Very pretty.

Sweetpea1532 · 27/11/2022 02:30

And you are right on trend with your fringe

Sweetpea1532 · 27/11/2022 02:31
