Ideas for a capsule wardrobe for 4 week stay on a tropical island over Christmas and New Year

3 bikinis, but what else?
I will be doing activities during the day that have already been catered for, sartorially.
I need stuff for evenings (not especially smart) and options for trips during the day.
Base colour is navy blue.

I think navy is a great base colour.

I have a pair of pale blue linen easy wear trousers, which go with everything. I have a navy linen shift dress (I can wear without a bra) for day trips when it’s going to hot and sweaty. Oh and scarves, plenty of scarves.

But are you over 65?

Surely it depends which island and if it’s budget / mid range or blow-the-budget type holiday?

3 x beach dress (also breakfast)

We’re also away for almost a month over Christmas and are travelling with hand luggage only. My plan is
3x pairs of flappy cotton trousers
2 x shorts
2 x bikini
5 vest tops
3 dresses
1 sarong
Sliders
flipflops

We’re travelling around Thailand and it’s quite chilled out so I’m not too worried about it. We’ll get it all washed while we’re there.

Firstly navy is not frumpy.
Secondly, this was never a boast and certainly not a "stealth" boast - whatever that is.
I am 165cm tall, normal weight so 10 to 12 in old money or 8 to 10 in new. 64 with few wrinkles and fewer white hairs (got the good genes).
I will stick to linen and silk combinations. Mostly from COS, Jigsaw and Hobbs (so all relatively old stuff).
I have been to my destination quite a few times since 1998, so despite my best efforts, I will probably over pack!
