Recommend me nice bath stuff that won’t give me thrush?🫣

Currently recovering from a bout of thrush I believe might be caused by a lush bath bomb, which was lovely btw the bath bomb, not the thrush!

So I’m now understandably wary of lush bath bombs, or anything heavily scented for that matter …

Please recommend me nice products so I can enjoy a lovely relaxing bath without any nasty side effects?

I gave up trying to find something. It just isn’t worth it. MAYBE one designed for babies?

I just don’t know why the companies who design these products aimed at women forget that women have vaginas … 🤦‍♀️

Its just so annoying, these companies need to give the perfumed scented stuff a rest right?

I wonder if bath salts might be ok? Like Epsom bath salts?

Bath salts should be ok you can get some nicely scented with essential oils. Think the brand I use is westlab or something similar

It's the perfume that is the problem. I use Simple brand bubble bath.

Has anyone else here had this reaction to the lush bath bombs? Or do I just have abnormally sensitive bits? 😭… I had never used them before but someone gave me a set as a gift… Who knows what I will do with the rest? Maybe give them to my DH, I suppose they will make him smell divine if nothing else useful 😂

L'occitane Shea or almond oil for bath/shower , they also do a rose and Shea but the perfume might irritate you. The others aren't particularly scented other than the scent of the oil itself. Really soft skin after too

LUSH bath bombs are so packed full of essential oils and colours etc that I'm surprised any person wants them anywhere near their sensitive areas. Soaking at length in them definitely won't help.

Perhaps stick to something like Sanex or bath salts. I'm prone to UTI's and seem to get one just by thinking about them half the time but do love a bath. I find most bubble bath fine but just don't use loads, don't stay in for ages and you can always have a quick rinse of the area with the shower as you get out to be sure.

Ooh I do like loccitane products, maybe I should hint to DH for some of their bath stuff for Christmas 😁

They had some good offers on recently on Amazon , a 500ml bottle of the Shea oil was £21 usually around £30+ use it sparingly and it lasts ages

The only Lush one that doesn't irritate me is Ceridwen's Cauldron which is essentially just oats and cocoa butter in a muslin bag - keep meaning to try and make my own and save myself the ripoff Lush price!

Fenjal bath oil products give me thrush.
GP advised not to use anything in bath water.
I now only use Fenjal shower stuff & keep it away from under carriage. Love the scent of it.
Scented body lotion works a treat if you want to smell nice afterwards.

*Don't use strong or cheap bubble bath products in little girls’ baths however much they love bubbles. Can cause all sorts of well known issues.••

I still can't work out how bath bombs can give you thrush. Surely that's a yeast overgrowth and it needs sugar too feed on, hence why being diabetic is a risk for thrush

This seems unusual to recommend but my DD suffers with this and the only things she can tolerate are Lush bath bombs which seems odd, I am guessing its the all natural ingredients although she tends to use snow fairy

I get this too. I just use water these days. Or some of my kids' Oilatum (bubble bath or bath additive) - that doesn't seem to set it off.

Im not sure what the bath bomb I used is called, but it turned the bath water bright pink and smelled strongly perfumed…

I rarely have a bath to be fair, a shower is just so convenient and quick. However I really enjoyed just soaking in the bath and taking some time to relax. So will definitely be on the look out for a product that’s gentle enough to soak my bits in, in the bath😂 … I not sure I want to risk another lush bath bomb though, having thrush is just so miserable, it’s just not worth it, even if the bath is lovely…

Does anyone know of naturally scented, gentle bath bombs? If such a thing exists lol, I did like having a bath bomb in there fizzing away 😁

epsom or magnesium salts + a bit of coconut oil + a few drops of tea tree oil. This never gave me thrush and i am very prone.

I love baths and spend ages soaking. Lush bath bombs do the same to me, strange as I rarely get thrush.
I use the Westlab unscented epsom salts, with a little bit of bath oil. I prefer oils to bubbles and they are less irritating. They sell Westlab in Home Bargains.
Neal’s yard do nice bath oils. Olverum bath oil is gorgeous, expensive but you don’t need much.
