She reacted to Green People and Elizabeth's Daughter. She can cope with Nivea Sensitive Skin however I wanted to treat her to something luxury for Christmas. Any recommendations?

CeraVe ,forget luxury for sensitive skin,it doesn't exist in my experience.

Nancienoo · 24/11/2022 19:56

I’ve got really sensitive skin and I use baby Aveeno everyday inc on face

GingerPigz · 24/11/2022 20:14

My teen DD won't use anything but CeraVe

chikp · 24/11/2022 20:15

Cetaphil in a pump bottle.

Or if you really want something fancier then try vichy aqualia

Paq · 24/11/2022 20:28

You're all lovely, thank you for the recommendations ❤️

CeraVe breaks me out. I like La Roche Posay

I have really sensitive skin and use Pai Instant Kalmer serum and the calming moisturiser which I can’t remember the name of!

I’ve got horribly sensitive skin, I can’t even use Nivea or simple. I started on the Olay beautify fluid as a teen, now I’m on Olay complete care in my 40s and it’s great, and I’ve got quite dewy skin for my age.

I can't use Cerave or Cetaphil, and don't overly rate them - certain products sting and it isn't hydrating enough on my skin.

I don't know if they would be suitable but Kiehl's Ultra facial Cream is fragrance free and and I often go back to it but find it a bit light over winter. Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser do an 'unfragranced' version which is also very nice and feels a bit more luxurious to use.

Not necessarily as luxury in feel but La Roche Posay Toleriane range and the original Aveeno cream are also options I reach for when my skin is sore, or anything from Eucerin. Particularly the 5% Urea facial cream or Skin Calming cream if I have any dryness or tightness, which that resolves immediately.

Try Simple.

Avene is amazing for sensitive skin but feels a little more luxury.

Another vote for cerave here, but some clarins stuff may work for her. My skin reacted to everything when pregnant but clarins hydro struff (was free so bunged it on my face) was ok (this was before I found cerave though).

CeraVe makes me break out in pimples. The ceramides clog my pores.
Kiehl’s make a Skin Rescuer which is great but the price makes it a luxury.
Malin and Goetz make a Vitamin E moisturiser, also great but luxury price.

superdupernova · 01/12/2022 18:04

I really like Safe Me Moisture Relief Cream by make P:rem. I started using it when I started tretinoin (strong retinol) for my acne. My skin was flaky and everything made it sting. It looks like a thick cream but melts into a watery gel consistency when you apply it. Obviously good for moisturising without causing acne too!

GetOffTheTableMabel · 01/12/2022 18:10

I use the Kate Somerville Delikate moisturiser when my skin is sensitive. The whole Delikate line is lovely and luxe. Currently reduced at Sephora UK too.

Cerave stings my skin and makes my cheeks flare up when it’s really sensitive. Like others I like aveeno and have been ok with the kiehl’s ultra facial - it just wasn’t so much better than aveeno that I felt like keeping using it, but it would be a nice present. Otherwise, I really rate the boots eczema cream (small tube and purple writing) and weirdly the e45 itch relief. Both sting a bit when they go on but really calm my skin down overnight.

Spanielsarepainless · 01/12/2022 18:33

I use Aveeno and Simple and had never had issues.
