Next sizing - dressing gown

I would be grateful for some sizing advice as I don’t shop at Next very often but want order teen dd a dressing gown as one of her Christmas presents.

She is reasonably tall and most of the time a true size 8 or small (in shops like Hollister or Urban Outfitters). But I know Next probably comes up bigger - but on the other hand she probably prefers a more roomy fit…. should I go for xsmall or small?

Next comes up big. I'm usually a 10 there despite my just-overweight BMI and 30" waist! I'd go XS. Or buy both and return one after Xmas.

I'm a 8 and 5ft 6. I'd go for an XS in Next for a dressing gown. Their size S in things like that (on me anyway) fit more like a 10-12 elsewhere would.
