Any thoughts on these? I was quite tempted by a couple of the more vintage, velvet frocks but now they're here and the quality isn't great. A friend has added me to the Facebook group and it's a bit like a cult. I tried to post about the wonky seams and got eaten alive. Is this normal?!

I totally agree. Wonky seams stitched with white cotton, on a navy dress! Mismatched coloured fabric, from different rolls . Tights wrapped in green crepe paper, so you cannot see the colour of them before you open them. Do not get me started on that model, only pose is pull/ touch my hair.
Very cheaply made garments.

Cult about sums it up! Normal practice re: the Facebook group in my experience.

The idea is great and the designs / fabric are lovely and the length is perfect on me. But the quality is shoddy. Absolutely shoddy. They bobbly like crazy and fast. I nearly wore one today but i thought it was just too faded and bobbly to get away with for work. Instead i wore a dress i bought from tesco 15 years ago which still looks great.

They’re really expensive for the quality which is on par with cheap places. The group is odd and full of people telling others that they look amazing when they are unsure about a dress even when it looks hideous.

I have a plain one that is good for work where it is likely to get covered in all sorts (I'm an EY teacher) but the 'fun' patterned dresses are too much. I teach toddlers but I don't want to dress like one.
I like that the dresses don't need ironing but the fabric is very prone to bobbling and I don't think the cut of the belted ones is very flattering on many body shapes.
The gushing in the FB group also puts me off. It makes me a bit wary to wear a more obvious Popsy patterned dress in case people think I am obsessed with them too.

They're a bit hit and miss.

I know MN hates the word, but they've gone really frumpy over the years. They used to have a lot more of the retro designs that did actually suit my shape (I am an hourglass though). Now everything makes me look thoroughly middle aged (I am but don't want to look it thanks).

Their tights were actually the best ones I've every found. But seeing as I hardly wear my dresses anymore now i WFH, I haven't actually bought a pair in about 18 months!

Some people on the Facebook page are a bit 'too much' and do look like adults dressed as toddlers. I understand what the group is trying to achieve about body positivity etc, but sometimes I see someone else in a dress and it puts me right off it!
