Roman.co.uk clothing - advice please?

I’m looking at this website for the first time and specifically at smart/party tops for Christmas events, but I’m a size 8 and they appear only to sell size 10 and up. If anyone has bought from here and can advise re quality and sizing I’d be very grateful. 😊

Quality is good for the money, I had a sundress that I almost lived in for 5 summers. They do have a tendancy to come out on the large size so that as a 16-18 I wear a 16

The handful of things I've tried from there have been on the generous side. I'd guess at a size 8 you'll find the 10s too big (I'm a 10-12 and the dresses I bought were too big - made for bustier women than me!)

Clothes are definitely the size they say. I am a 16 and their 16 fits beautifully

I think their sizing is a bit unpredictable.I am a 14 , and have 3 dresses from them, one each of 10, 14, and 16. All fit perfectly!

I loved the look of their stuff on the website and bought a dress but it made me look like Margot Leadbetter.

A few weeks ago I would've said they're always true to size.
However the last top I ordered in a 10 was ridiculously big, I was so confident about it I didn't try it on when it arrived & took it straight on a weekend away where I realised I couldn't wear it!
I thought they did an 8 but maybe not. A 10 will probably be too big on you.
Quality is always good though.

I really like Roman - the clothes that I’ve bought have been good quality and the styles flattering. I’ve always found them true to size, but I am quite tall, so the legs and sleeves would possibly be too long on a shorter person.
I think they do some of their clothes in size 8. I was looking at the website earlier and on the Sale page there’s the option to filter by size. There may not be as many to chose from, but there are definitely some size 8s

I love Roman. I'm size 8 on top and 10 on bottom. For their dresses I order an 8 but jeans a 10.

The sizes vary. I have a tops in size 14, size 16. I tried on a different style, got up to 18 and still struggled to get into it. I like their clothes though.

Thanks all for your help. Strange that all the tops I like aren’t available in a 8 - perhaps they’re just sold out. I’ll keep checking the website over the next few days and hope for the best 😊

Try on the Next website to see if they have size 8. Hope you find something. I've just ordered some cardigans in size 16 and I'm a 16/18 so I'm hoping they fit as not bought from this brand before.

Im a 14/16 but only 5ft 2 and i have just bought a couple of jumpers and a dress from Roman in a 14 Petite and they fit beautifully. I like the petite fitting because it means the sleeves are not too long on me which can happen with standard fittings. Ive found their website easy to manage and delivery is just a couple of days.

I haven't bought from Romam directly but I got a BNWT black velvet dress from eBay
size 16 , fit is perfect (I'm a 16 top/14 bottom with a menopause belly)
