Please recommend some boots

Travelling back to UK for winter from home country where I own practically zero winter clothes. I've bought a capsule wardrobe but I'm really struggling to find a pair of everyday boots I like. I'm looking for -

Black
Leather
Ankle length
Flat
Fashionably chunky but not too much
Everyday wear so warm and reasonably water resistant
Go with midi skirt length and jeans
No budget restriction for the unicorn pair!

I'm 43, capsule wardrobe is coated skinnies, black jeans, black jersey midi skirt, leather midi, wide leg trousers to wear with assorted knitwear and sequins for evening. Please help me find some boots oh stylish ones!

Can you give examples of some of the ones you've ruled out? DM 1460s might fit the bill

I like this sort of style but don't like the stitching round the toes and I wonder how much breaking in they'd need

I just read that you don’t like DM’s, but these aren’t the traditional lace up ones. They’re Chelsea boots with a zip, they’re fleece-lined for winter and have an anti-slip sole. I have a few friends with them who say they’re footwear Heaven.

@boboshmobo I love your boots, I'm just not sure I could pull them off. At heart I'm a traditional Chelsea boot girl but I want something more fashionable and non slip!

I have a version of these and they're very comfy, pretty hard-wearing too. They look good with jeans and skirts.

I treated myself to a pair of these boots last winter .. they are amazingly comfortable, like wearing slippers, they are light and they have broken in beautifully.
The most expensive boots I've ever bought myself but I've worn them almost everyday and they're still going strong and look fab.

Not really, @HouseOfEssex! They were fairly comfy from the outset but have definitely worn in a bit too.

Mine are a 40, which is pretty true to size for me (I'm usually 6.5 - 7) - I did try on a 39 and there wasn't a great deal in it, but I kept the 40 and put fleece insoles inside so they're toasty. I love them because they're versatile and just the right side of clumpy 😁
