Then, at the point of going out I'll add my phone and a cereal bar or similar to avoid buying food to go if I can help it.

If I'm alone and have the dog with me it's a whole different bag/story but even less exciting.

Bag is a cheap khaki military type satchel that I use when I want both hands free and need pockets (I think it was from ASOS).

Bag is a Madewell thing I got from John Lewis a few years ago.

Large inside pocket: sanitary towels; old shopping list; AirPods; face covering; defunct work ID card; necklace; tampon; biscuits with June expiry date; 4711 forehead stick.

Medium inside pocket: blister plasters; bus pass holder; other plasters; sterile wipe.

Small inside pocket: crumbs/dust.

Main body: purse (Osprey); glasses case; notebook with pens; sunglasses; keys; work ID badge and lanyard; hairbrush; tissues; Gruffalo biscuits; lipstick; car charging adapter for cigarette lighter; face covering; pencil; extremely large composting layer of old receipts/vouchers/shopping lists.

Bag is an ancient Neverfull which I need to retire but is just so roomy.

I have a make up bag with mirror, concealer, powder , lipstick, lip oil and bronzer/ brush.
