How would I make this Sezane dress Winter suitable (so I can justify buying it)

I adore this Sezane dress. It’s my birthday this week and want to treat myself to it. But how can I make it appropriate for winter so I can justify it? I’m thinking black tights, maybe a long sleeve top underneath? Or would that be weird?

On top of a crisp white shirt with an thermal under the shirt.

wear a jumper in a suitable length so it looks like it’s a skirt.

I like your jumper idea, something quite thin though so a thermal underneath. .

Black turtle neck, very fine knit and figure hugging. Subtle 60s twiggy vibes

Underneath the dress I meant, but a cropped chunky knit could work over

Christmas parties, surely?!

Great dress! I’d opt for a really huge mohair-ish cardigan and knee high (or higher) boots. Annoyingly can’t find a good example atm - but it’s crying out for this scarf.

Ok. Found it.

I Am Really Sorry!

Will try to do better in future …
