Rive Gauche perfume

The last time I bought perfume - so long ago the memory is lost in the mists of time - it was Rive Gauche by YLS.

I want to treat myself to something new so where should I start - what perfumes do you think I'd like? There seem to be so many choices when I go into a shop and I don't want to test them all.

Is there a reason you don’t want actual Rive Gauche?

it seems old fashioned now, and there are so many new perfumes out there.

As you get older (say by 30 years) would you change the perfume you use? Are some perfumes for "young people" and some more suitable for the more mature person (me)?
