What is your daily routine ?

Hi, I’m trying to get back into a routine, I’ve sort of lost my way since becoming a mum and I’m definitely lacking on my self care / any kind of hair / make up routine. I use to take fairly good care of myself, I wouldn’t say I was glamorous at all but friends would always say I looked nice or well put together. I’ve definitely let myself go? I just don’t look like the person I want to be. I don’t do my hair anymore, I chuck on anything, I’m always in a rush and make up now is like for a special occasion whereas before I wouldn’t leave the house without it?
I probably need to wake up earlier and give myself more time but I need a routine. I’m just curious, what are your routines each day, does it change for work / your days off with the kids etc? Thanks :-)

I do as much as possible the night before!

I shower, hair wash etc in the evening.

So I double cleanse, plus on serums and moisturisers before bed.

In the morning I just rinse my face, slap on some Vit C serum, spf and moisturiser while I'm brushing my teeth and hair.

Quick flannel wash of pits and bits, deodorant, mouthwash. Brush hair.

Put on clothes that I have decided on the day before ( easy as I wear the same thing to work as I would at home i.e jeans and sweatshirts)

Go downstairs, switch on kettle.

Take vitamins, eat breakfast. Take a probiotic yogurty thing.

Put my make up on while standing in the kitchen as the light is best in there. I keep my make up bag in the kitchen cupboard these days - I was spending ages running up and down stairs for bits before as I kept it all in the bedroom/ bathroom. So that saves time.

Make cup of tea for me and DH- take his upstairs to him in bed as I leave before he's even up most days.

Check everything I need is in my bag

Put on shoes/ coat

Go to work.

Whole morning routine takes about half an hour.

We don't have children or pets to fit into the routine though, so I'm aware mine is fairly straightforward.

I think like with everything, consistency is key.

I'm similar to the PP.

I do skincare at night - cleanse, Tretinoin, serum, moisturiser and have a bath.

Morning I wash face with water, add vit c serum, Spf then I only wear Erborian CC cream and either a lip mask that looks glossy or some lipstick. I also wear aromatherapy associates morning revive to wake me up and give me a boost.

Hair usually down or messy bun it's very long.

I don't think I look scruffy but my day to day is very "natural looking" I only really wear make up for special occasions.

I leave at 8am for work, alarm goes off at 6am if I’m running/yoga before work, 6:30 if not. Shower and brush teeth - hair wash every three days. I make coffee (machine set up the night before) after my shower and get lunch together whilst that’s brewing. Skincare and moisturiser, drink coffee and water whilst doing make up and hair, take vitamins. Get dressed and out of the door! I mostly decide clothes the night before so I save time in the morning.

In the evenings I prep breakfast (overnight oats) whilst I make dinner, I take those to work with me and have at my desk around 9am. I prep the coffee machine every night when I do the dishwasher.

Quick shower before bed, teeth and mouthwash. Moisturise body, cleanse/tone/serum/moisturise face. Hand cream and a glass of water, hair up and sleep!
