Can you give me some naive/fancy shoes ideas that are not tight in the toe or high for my work office xmas party

I’m size 18, almost 6ft large build and wearing a sparkly blazer, cami top and black trousers.
What shoe might you recommend?
there will be dinner and a disco and it’s supposed to quite a glam venue (I’m not so glam) but want to look nice

Black suede or velvet ankle boots?

MichelleScarn · 15/11/2022 12:44

Should you be taking naive shoes to a party? 😁
Are you wanting glam/sparkly/quirky? Flat or a heel?

FusionChefGeoff · 15/11/2022 12:45

I've got some sparkly sequin superga you could find some similar disco flats???

GreenManalishi · 15/11/2022 12:48

Gold, glittery or velvet ankle boots with a block heel. I am absolutely over high heeled sandals and shoes, the last time I wore them was about five years ago, I managed about an hour of standing before having to take them off and my feet hurt for weeks! 😂

I like black suede or velvet but can’t be too high, also my trousers are sitting just above ankle so my worry with ankle boots as there will be some ankle shoe which might make my legs look odd?

I love those sequinned superga but I’m not sure if this venue allows trainer type shoes ?? Or do you think they could be pulled off as ok?

Any links or suggestions to affordable ideas

How about something like These?

Your trousers might ride up if you sit down, if you're bothered how about a pair of knee highs?

GreenManalishi · 15/11/2022 12:53

What's your budget?

I reckon sparkly trainers are still trainers and not really evening wear, but depends on the venue maybe?

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 15/11/2022 12:53

Russell & Bromley have some amazing disco-style block heels at the moment - These look high but I've tried them on and they're actually really comfortable and not high on your feet because of the platform.

These are slightly lower but also super comfy, I wore them to an all day wedding this summer and didn't even notice them let alone have sore feet by the end of the night.

I've got these, wore them to a function last week with black trousers and they were very comfy (I have wide feet and any shoes or sandals with heels tend to be too tight across the toe joints). I am a habitual trainer/Birkenstock wearer for context.

Some nice ones here too, metallic or zebra would be fun. www.sosandar.com/footwear/ankle-boots/

Love some of these options, am drawn to the ankle boots

These shoes have a regular and wife fitting and are super comfortable. They have loads of fabulous party shoes and their ankle boots are very comfortable too.

Beware Superga if you have wide toe box needs - I found them really narrow and ended up chucking them away. I bought some Irregular Choice for an all-day wedding this year and they were fine - not exactly super comfy, but I did stand up in them all day without wanting to cry, which is about as good as it gets for me with high heels.
