I've got a last minute invite to a nice meal out with a group of old University friends this Friday. I've got terrible back problems at the moment, so I'm very limited as the shoes I can wear. My standard skinny black jeans are not going to look good with my Skechers, which are currently all I can comfortably (ish) walk in!
I need to buy something and don't want to schlep around the shops (see previous back issues) so will probably get something next day delivery.
Will boot cut be OK? Planning on wearing a really nice blouse.
Any suggestions gratefully received. I'd normally be wearing a pair of beautiful heeled sandals...

I think sketchers will always look like sketchers!!! I would just wear them with my skinny jeans, I don’t think flares are going to look any better or disguise them.

How are vans slip ons for you? I find them supportive.

One of my more casual going out outfits is a black silk blouse, high waisted jeans and a pair of snake print vans slip ons.

I love my vans buy sadly I'm finding them too flat at the moment. My Skechers are literally the only things I can where that don't make me feel off balance.

I don't have any suggestions really but gosh if your back is in a bad way OP then I wouldn't risk further injury or setback, it isn't worth it for a few drinks. I would just wear them and make light of it, it is what it is.

Probably a long shot but you could try buying them in plain black or similar and opting for wide leg trousers (very on trend)

Thank you for replying. I already own the Skechers, it's jeans I need! Wide legged trousers might be the way forward, though. Thank you.
