Winter Coat

I'm looking for a winter coat, more specifically a puffer type, with hood and one that at least covers the bum but longer if possible. My biggest want is for it to be fitted round the waist... all the nice thick ones this year seem to have no shape round the waist making me look like a marshmallow.

Don't mind paying up to about £280 for one that fits the bill and is warm and good quality.

Anyone any recommendations? I bought a really good one from Superdry a few years back in its premium range but all of theirs seem to be lacking in quality this year (albeit the price is cheaper now too).

Please help!!

I’m sure I’ve seen one in Cos with a hidden drawstring for an optional waist.
I do like my Cos puffer from a couple of years ago.

Thank you, I'll take a look, never heard of that brand before 😊

I have a Mango puffer that has a drawstring inside the waist.

Look for one that has a good ratio of down filling and it should be warm and decent quality

Have you tried m&s

Try the Dita coat from Hobbs. I'm waiting on it going in the sale. It's shaped lovely at the waist.

Also you could look at the firbeck coat from Tog24. Nice shape but not as nice as the Dita.

I have a schoffel one and it's fitted at the waist and really flattering and also warm and has lasted about 5/6 years so far. It's similar to this one. williampowell.com/products/schoffel-ladies-belgravia-coat-navy-ljc382-nv?currency=GBP&variant=41374215176354&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAjs2bBhACEiwALTBWZbgNbEz8fdez9FbOoC-tif1a0rkE75rg1bslzV9GbI2KelT6mc7YnRoCuFAQAvD_BwE

I felt like I wanted to size up as it is quite fitted but it is so warm you don't need huge numbers of layers and it's really flattering if you go for your normal size. the size up didn't look so flattering on me.

It appears to be currently on sale on John Lewis

One for one from next, waist is fitted it was I think less than £80. Knee length, his stays up. BUT it's too bloody warm to wear at the moment!

wewishyouamerrychristmas · 15/11/2022 16:55

Thanks starpop. It's the navy one I am after and typically, that's still full price.

I'm also looing for something similar.

Love the shape on the Hobbs and Shoffel ones.

Joules Cheringon is a similar shape to the Hobbs one
