Where are the nice shoes?!

I just want nice black shoes for work, and everywhere I've looked is entirely made of hideousness!

I want them to be flat or with a really sturdy but small heel.

Not too ballet-ish.

NOT LOAFERS. I hate loafers, they're everything that's wrong.

I do like brogues.

So far I've looked at Clarks, Hush Puppies, Deichmann, and so many other places. I've trawled websites, eBay, Yours, Simply Be...

I just want plain black and non-leaky shoes!

Any hints, tips or help would be most gratefully appreciated. Thanks!

Oh yes, I'm a size 8, aged 57 and I wear trousers, skirts and dresses. They don't need to be formal but they do need to go with trousers and skirts...

@TragicMuse what kind of budget are you looking at OP? Luca Grossi, HB, Gabor and Paul Green do some lovely ladies brogues - both slip on and lace up 😊

I remember a gorgeous pair of brogues at R&B many years ago, I didn't buy them and I still regret it!

These? I've these in bright red, they are ridiculously comfy - I really mean it. I bought online and on a whim, couldn't figure out how or what to wear with them for ages, now I wear them constantly.
