Anyone bought this dress? Please tell me (show me?) how you styled it. I’m thinking velvet block heel sandals (gone are the days when I would wear the highest stiletto heel I could find) but not sure whether to go opaque tights or bare legs…then faux fur or sparkly jacket (think more velvet would be too much) plus vintage or vintage style statement necklace.
Also unsure of whether to go bright and almost clashy with accessories (bright pink velvet jacket for example) or whether to keep everything muted and vintage velvet in an antique shop look with just jewellery for sparkle. Help!
I am 47 5’2” over my usual weight (12-14 sadly this Xmas) and feeling very frumpy. Boobs DD at least and no waist, so think the style will create some shape in the right places. Hoping so anyway.
oh and it’s for DP’s first Xmas party in new very senior role. I’m the arty, not very conformist one so don’t wish to look like everyone else, but also don’t want to look like an actual art student on this occasion!

Horribly practical, but won’t you be too hot with a jacket?

SheWoreYellow · 12/11/2022 15:46

Dress is lovely though 😊

@SheWoreYellow thank you. Am generally on the chilly side though menopause may have slightly changed all that. Would rather be too hot though than too cold probably.

I think you just need an amazing necklace, but a fake fur wrap thing might look good too. Just a thin one.
