Christmas outfit?

I've not been to a Christmas do since pre pandemic and I'm in need of a 'winter going out outfit' but have no idea where to start. It'll be for fairly casual meals and drinks out, occasional theatre etc.

All suggestions welcome.

I'm nearly 40, pear (14 top/ 16 bottom) 5ft7.

My entire wardrobe currently consists of jeans and lounge wear 😂

This might be worth checking out. It's much sparklier and it's not as black irl. I don't understand why online they are doing sizes 8, 10 etc when the item in the shop comes in XS, S etc. It's a nice top for informal Christmas stuff though, can be worn buttoned up to loose, collar done up or left open.

Monsoon have a sequined one, there's also the one Tess Daly was wearing in Strictly last week from Mint Velvet.
