Can’t find a pencil sharpener that makes a *really* sharp point

As title. I used to rely on the Bourjois sharpeners (translucent pink plastic) but they’ve changed them; other ones I’ve tried (Charlotte Tilbury, Trish McEvoy…various others I forget, but ranging from cheap to ££ brands) have been a letdown.

It’s a subtle difference and will sound silly but I just need a super-fine point so I can get a very faint and delicate stroke for the bits of my brows that need filling in. A “normal” freshly sharpened point from most sharpeners doesn’t quite achieve this. If I go ahead and use it anyway, I catch my reflection through the day and think I look weird and wrong.

Those old Bourjois ones were my HG and I only have one left and it’s disintegrating 😫

(I do know about push-up “always sharp” superfine brow “pencils” but they absolutely aren’t fine enough)

Anyone else dealt with this? Or if you don’t know of an answer but do have a properly old Bourjois one, would you sell it to me? I don’t even care if it’s grubby! I will wash it.

Have you tred outing the pencils in the fridge first so they are harder and less likely to sharpen to a blunt point.

*putting

Following as also have this issue. I have bought one from NYX that's ok....

I have a Christian Dior sharpener that I got more than 30 years ago, part of a set I think. It's the only one I've tried that gives me a sharp point. I don't even know if they still make them or how much they will have changed if so, but might be worth a look.

Have you tried eBay for the old style Bourjois one? And Amazon?

SevernEleven · 12/11/2022 16:04

/This one?

Bloody brilliant!

Have you tried a normal pencil sharpener

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 12/11/2022 17:47

Ah fgs, I tried eBay and I thought I had tried Amazon too but I somehow didn’t find it — only a slightly different model. I feel foolish now but thank you SO much @SevernEleven. Have ordered and just hope it really is like the one in the photo.

(The fridge cold thing is a good tip (arf) but unfortunately doesn’t give me a noticeably smaller point when using an unsatisfactory sharpener)

I got a cheap sharpener from Bodycare that is brilliant, I’d be gutted if it breaks
