Evans sizing compared to other high street shops?

I'm thinking of ordering a few things online from Evans but am wondering how the sizes run compared to other shops? For example, if I'm an 18 at Tesco, would I still be an 18 at Evans or would it be closer to their 16?

Or: if you've ordered from them recently, would you say the measurements given on their website are accurate?

(I ask this as someone who has spent most of her life between 14-16-18 and I've noticed shops marketed towards larger sizes can sometimes be sized differently. I'm hoping to avoid having to order and return items etc. )

Have you done their Fit finder thing? I’m finding they work well on most websites.

Oh this is going to sound so silly, but no, I hadn't tried it. In my defence, I have tried that sort of thing on other websites and would always end up being put off by the questions (not that they were intrusive or whatever, just that I didn't always know the answers regarding what size I wore in other specific shops etc)

Anyway yes I've done it now and it's told me what I suspected might be the case (I'm a 16 according to them, but I'd say I'm an 18 if I were buying from Tesco right now...)

I used to find the Evans sizing more generous, but that was a while ago.
