Long, waterproof raincoat

I need a new raincoat. A long, waterproof raincoat.

I'm 5'8" and I want a raincoat will keep me dry and that will come below my knees. What's the point in a raincoat that keeps the water off your body, only to pour it down your thighs instead?

I have one by Lighthouse that comes to mid-calf (I'm 5' 7"). It's very waterproof and has a thin lining. I have lost weight since I bought it so now have room for warm layers. It's received a few compliments, but may not be everyone's cup of tea.

I have a riding Mack style one, completely waterproof and well below my knees. Brilliant for wet dog walk days.

Didriksons do long ones

Try craghoppers just bought my teenage daughter an adult long one. Was discounted and i found a further code online. Think it was called suona.

I bought this Helly Hensen Aden jacket last year and its 100% waterproof in massive downpours (its Helly Tech, similar to Goretex) and its long but looks quite nice too.

I have the Mac version (slightly shorter) and love it

This one from the Goodmove range at M and S comes below my knees (5ft 5), and dips further into a parka hem at the bag. I am really pleased with mine, completely waterproof and the colour is beautiful in real life (more of a lavender/ pale blue than the 'grey' on the description)

@Dilbertian I know!! - I got mine on a 40% off sitewide offer a couple of months ago after waiting for ages - I really couldn't afford it at full price.

Another vote for RAINS - the Curve raincoat comes down to mid calf on me and I'm 5'4". The photos on the website are terrible - all the coats look like sacks tied around a stick; but on actual people with actual bodies, the Curve is really flattering and hangs well.
