Straighter hair than a scarecrow - could I ever suit a pixie/super short cut?

I have v v straight hair - and by straight I mean, it looks like someone has stuck uncooked spaghetti to my head, not a wave in sight...

It's also very fine, BUT quick thick, i.e. I have lots of individual hairs. But they're so fine that they shrink down to a teeny tiny hair band.

Has anybody with hair like mine ever pulled off a pixie/cool short cut? What styles would work?

My fine straight hair only looks good in a pixie. I don't know about you but my hair is pretty flat too so getting rid of all the weight gives it a good bit of volume. Bit of wax or putty and it's looks like it actually has a style.

I have the same hair and the shorter it is the better it looks. It's currently in a blunt, chin length bob.

Ur hair sounds like mine fine floppy but lots of it
hair dresser also suggested not wax but hairspray on fingers then rubbed through as the wax can pull the hair down
although I have used wax previously

I would think a pixie cut would be perfect for dead straight hair. You just need a hairdresser who knows where to chop into it and where to take weight out and where to leave it. My old hairdresser wouldn't give me a pixies style cut as she said my hair was too wavy for it (it's not - it looks great).
