I know I'm not as much of a regular as I used to be (and would like to be if life didn't get in the way!) but thought I'd start the new thread as I know @EllaPaella often ends up needing to do it so thought she might want a break, and I had a spare 5 mins and would hate to lose you all!

Will tag everyone I can remember below, apologies if I miss anyone!

@Puddinandpie have you looked at Boden? They have a great cord mini skirt and it's 22% discount until tomorrow

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 12:09

@Sooverthemill I wish, i don't do mini skirts I don't have the legs for it unfortunately, I bought 2 at my friend's boutique on Sunday, but one does feel a bit tight so I'm dieting to squeeze into it🤣 I may have to let her order me the correct size (I do it everytime)

EllaPaella · 11/11/2022 14:56

Love the leather skirt and blazer outfit @EnoBaby and @Sooverthemill lush skirt 😍

In bed poorly with a mystery non covid virus. Feel absolutely rotten but feeling very guilty about not being at work for a virus that isn't covid... daft I know but still. Had an extremely painful hip as well, a combination of running and a strenuous yoga session when I should probably have been resting it earlier this week. Feeling sorry for myself. Hopefully i'll be better tomorrow and have ab outfit that's fit for here..

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 16:16

@EllaPaella awww bless ya' stay in bed and rest, hope you feel better soon 😊 I've been feeling a bit under the weather can't put my finger on it, but my glands keep going up and down and my neck and head hurt continuously, but don't think it's covid, weird!🤔

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 16:20

No pic today, too bloody exhausted, I've been up since 4.30am and have succumbed to crappy joggers with holes in, I'll just admire everybody else's outfits instead 😁

WestrayWife · 11/11/2022 16:44

No idea what the weather is doing or what I'm dressed for today!

Sparkly Tunic / Dress - Hush
Leggings - H&M
Trainers - Gola

Softpebbles · 11/11/2022 19:09

Oh no @EllaPaella hope you feel better soon.

@Puddinandpie i hardly post lately. Totally lost my way.

have a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear. Had an m and s order arrive today and the lots going back! X

EllaPaella · 11/11/2022 19:48

I'm the same @Softpebbles. Warm one day, cold the next.
Although I did order a dark emerald green velvet jumpsuit for Christmas nights out inspired by seeing it on another thread. Will wear with a white faux fur coat and gold sandals.

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 19:52

@softpebbles It's hard when you have good days and bad days, how have you been since your op? I hate it when I feel clouded in my judgement nothing looks or feels right, it's all in the mind, your confidence is there one minute and gone the next, especially when you are having a bit of a crap day with pain, exhaustion etc! I think you always look fab😊

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 19:53

@EllaPaella that sounds lush👌

Softpebbles · 11/11/2022 20:01

@EllaPaella the jumpsuit sounds fabulous. I’ve decided for my nights out I’ve a plum coloured pleated skirt and a v neck back and front blouse with heels. Or I’ve coated skinnies or Tulle skirt I’ve never worn!

I ordered a black slip skirt but it didn’t sit right so back it goes.

@Puddinandpie pain wise I’m great now. Have started yoga, been walking loads and am back to work. Hormones are nightmare. I’ve not had a full nights sleep in forever and hot flushes are a menace. I think I need to get my HRT sorted - sooner rather than later! I’ve also put on a couple of pounds and that is driving me mad. BUT no endo pain and no debilitating periods.

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 20:16

@Softpebbles well except the hot flushes that sounds fab, so glad your feeling better, it gives me a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, I have another app December which I'm gonna try and cancel and rebook with someone else because the Dr is crap, I'm in pain very nearly everyday and when I ovulate I can barely sit on my bum with out a short intake of breath, some days I spend all day just bloody crying (in the toilet, i dont want all my family to keep seeing mummy crying) I think I've reached boiling point so whatever dr I have next better watch out🤣

EllaPaella · 11/11/2022 20:20

Sorry to hear you are suffering too @Puddinandpie - being a woman is shit sometimes!
@Softpebbles pleased to hear you are on the road to recovery. I'm trying to have HRT discussions with GP at the moment too as my hot flushes are horrendous and I am sleeping terribly, often waking up at 1 and unable to get back to sleep for hours.

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 20:21

Sorry just reread that and realised I was ranting excuse me for going off topic🙈 ignore me I'm having a crap day!😅

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 20:24

@EllaPaella tell me about it men get all the goodness! Sleep deprivation can feel bloody awful, and it makes everything else feel so much worse it's the cherry on the shit cake! 😆

Softpebbles · 11/11/2022 21:46

@EllaPaella hope you get sorted. I am on HRT but it’s not quite right.

@Puddinandpie hope you get some answers. Zoladex worked well for me.

Puddinandpie · 11/11/2022 22:46

@Softpebbles zoladex sounds powerful, do you just get it from gp or does it have to be via specialists? Did you get many side effects? (Sorry for lots of questions)

toucaninjapan · 12/11/2022 02:37

Oh @Puddinandpie it sounds so hard! Hope you find a solution soon!

@EllaPaella I need to see that dark emerald green velvet jumpsuit! I hope you recover soon.

@Sooverthemill fantastic jumper, your knitting skills are something!

I'm finally home.
Yesterday I learned the hard way what happens if a slowly taxing aircraft turns and faces its tail to you while you are some 80m away. Thanks to one of our business partners shielding me with his back, I did not fly away, but the tornado straight from the heat of the Sahara desert hit me hard anyways!

A Sezane total look today with a cap I bought in some Korean store called SPAO.

faffadoodledo · 12/11/2022 08:06

@EllaPaella that sleep pattern is what happened to me during peri. It's a bit better for me now.
Sadly full blown HRT didn't quite do it for me (complicated story about worrying bleeds not suitable for a Style and Beauty thread). But now seem through the worst, and just using localised vagifem twice a week which does the job.
It's amazing we all manage to look so fabulous with all the nonsense we have to put up with, eh? 😎

PinkButtercups · 12/11/2022 08:10

A grey long sleeved wool type dress that finished before the knee with tights and my chunky Chelsea boots.

Sooverthemill · 12/11/2022 09:02

Comfy clothes today. Hoping I won’t have to do anything other than look after DD. So knackered still

tee: Sézane
trousers : le bon shoppe
Shoes: Birkenstock

OublietteBravo · 12/11/2022 09:49

I’ve been quite lucky with peri (so far). Mostly just weird cycle lengths, and different weight distribution.

Still weirdly warm for November. Forecast to get to 17C today. If it wasn’t for the dark evenings it would almost feel like spring.

Top: Primark
Dungarees: Hush
Boots: Doc Martens

Niftythrifter · 12/11/2022 10:52

Boden stripe top from the charity shop and purely as a layering piece. It’s so thin that I would have defiantly been disappointed had I of paid full price.

Zara jumper with a lovely collar and velvet bow.

Seven for All Mankind faux leather skirt from TK Maxx

Coloured and logo tights from Urban Outfitters

Longchamp bag from TK Maxx

Ankle boots from Clarks

Puddinandpie · 12/11/2022 11:03

@toucaninjapan well that's sounds scary, it is a good job you had a human shield 😉 that outfit is really 😍

Puddinandpie · 12/11/2022 11:05

@Sooverthemill do you think you might have a bit of long covid??
