Heyyyy!!

I'm a first time Mum, recently joined this site :)

I'm at a very early stage of 7 weeks. Over the years I have Botox in a few places, subtle but needed! I've read online it should be avoided whilst pregnant which I'm ok to do, however there are also a lot of other things they say to avoid which I know people often still do (like eating medium/rare steak for example)

So I was just wondering, has anyone here had procedures done like Botox whilst pregnant? Is it really one to avoid or would you say it's just a caution? Is there proof out there that it's harmful to the baby?

9 months is a long time and my wrinkles are not welcome here 😆

Much love

Kelly x

No, I would absolutely not get Botox, and as an aesthetics practitioner I would not treat a pregnant client. It's just another thing you have to give up while pregnant, same as alcohol, certain foods and certain medications.

The reason it is not considered safe is that there is not anywhere near enough data or studies to draw a conclusion on it's safety either way. It is an unknown.
