Interview Dress- not 100% polyester!

I've got a job interview in a couple of weeks and need something new to wear. It's a relatively senior job in a relaxed academic environment so it doesn't need to be full city banker suit style but a nice smart dress, perhaps with an interesting design element.

Budget about £100-150 but i could push it for something great.

I would have gone straight to Hobbs, Whistles etc but looking at their stuff now and I really resent paying £150+ for a dress made of the same cheap quality fabric you get in New Look!

Any ideas where I should be looking?

Im a size 16, bottom heavy. Don't suit stuff that's fitted all the way down. Tend to buy skater/fit and flare style things. Don't mind a print but don't really suit bright colours.

Thanks!

I'm similar shape, but a 20 now sadly. Damsel in a dress suits me and Joe browns for budget

The Fold have some gorgeous dresses - many are wool or silk - possibly way out of your budget though.

this is nice!

Something like this? Wool mix from Jaeger (via M&S), a lovely colour: www.marksandspencer.com/tencel-blend-ribbed-v-neck-midi-shirt-dress/p/clp60581520

This from Kin/John Lewis - quite plain, but could be dressed up with boots/accessories:

Ooh yeah those dresses from the Fold are really nice. Do they wear/wash well?

Also liking this one from the fold

I think those John Lewis ones are a bit boxy for me. I need things that go in at the waist.

Seasalt - cotton, mostly organic cotton

Vinted? Do you know what size you generally wear? I bought a brand new LK Bennett wardrobe for a fraction of the cost.
