Christmas parties outfits?

I’ve been looking online for days now, please inspire me!
I have two parties in December, meal and a disco type of affair and lots of visits for Christmas drinks/canapés.

What are you wearing?

Sequins or velvet scream Christmas party to me. Plum, Deep red/green, metallics or black.

I've just ordered a couple of pairs of sequinned wide-leg trousers to try.

These in green.

Haven't worked out the top half or footwear yet. Will probably end up returning them and wearing something tried and tested from the wardrobe. 🙄

Hey I have found something at Bon, they currently have money off at Bonmarche its 20% off. Limited time so not sure when this will be on for. I got a lovely lace red dress, but if you like trousers and a top they have some nice colourful ones available. I like sparkling them up with great jewellery!

I've got the green ones. I like them; they are comfy and fit well. But they are a lot brighter than the picture suggests.

The venue I'm off to is smart casual and I have no idea what to wear. I don't feel comfy in dressy clothes.

@Cranarc I absolutely loved the green sequin trousers, and ended up keeping them.

Perfect for the company Christmas party, and I will also be wearing them to ABBA Tribute which we're booked into just before Christmas.

Any good? Just recommended it on a wedding thread to but I think it's surpringly versatile.

Go comfy, but sparkle it up with accessories? Then you get to feel comfortable but also feel done up with the bag, shoes and jewellery?

I went to the first party of the season last night.
I wore a jumpsuit I found in TK maxx.
Everybody was glittery, made an effort. Glittery skirts with plain black tops or glittery tops with plain trousers/skirts looked amazing. Glittery dresses and jumpsuits.
The one thing to bare in mind is white/cream sparkly tops were abundant, made certain tables look like they were wearing uniforms, not sure why, but at least half the ladies wore what looked like the same top.
We had cream cheese filled vol au vents, really tasty, but if a blob falls on your sequin top there is no way you can clean it, seen quite a few stained tops. You can tell I don’t go out much 😂

Then we hit the wine good and proper and nobody cared 😂😂😂

I've got rose gold sequins this year, which are lovely alternative to the white/champagne or black, very flattering to most skin tones too.

I'm wearing multi-coloured sequins this year. I reckon I could roll in ketchup and it wouldn't show ha ha.
