Substitute for facial scrub?

BorisJohnsonsHair · 05/11/2022 19:25

My face feels like it really needs a good scrub, but I don't have any left.

What's a good home made substitute? Oats? Sugar? Salt?

Any tried and tested recipes gratefully received.

I think the exfoliating scrubs have largely been replaced with exfoliating toners like pixi.

However I still use the no7 microdermabrasion scrub. Also run it over my hands too and it feel lovely.

Oh sorry ignore me I don't read it properly!

A flannel

LubaLuca · 05/11/2022 20:37

I was going to suggest a flannel too.

pastabakeonaplate · 05/11/2022 20:39

NOOOOO DONT SCRUB IT!

DoodlePug · 05/11/2022 23:38

Something with vitamin C and an acid, maybe mush up some pineapple chunks

A soapy flannel is great, I’ve recently gone back to it.

Nip n Fab glycolic pads are amazing. I used to use Apri apricot scub, but it didn’t make my skin anywhere near as smooth and glowy as these.

Ekátn · 06/11/2022 10:59

I use a flannel

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 06/11/2022 11:32

Use an acid toner much better.

Scrubs are far too rough

spaceshiptrain · 06/11/2022 13:32

Coconut oil and bicarb

Korean Italy towel, green, for future use

A muslin

Table salt can work at a push

BorisJohnsonsHair · 06/11/2022 18:34

Thanks for all the suggestions. I used a dry flannel and it felt so much better afterwards.

Will look into some of the alternatives mentioned too.

Coconut oil (or any oil really) and sugar. Rinse well with a flannel.
