Every time it starts to get cold I get really sore and red lips. Vaseline doesn’t help. What does please?

Blistex medicated cream in the little tube. It's not quite the same as when it was Blisteze, but it's still the best I know Smile

Will get some, thanks @SocksAndTheCity

Have you tried lanolips? Or La Roche Posay Cicaplast lip balm. Or Weleda Skin Food? I reckon all are better alternatives to Vaseline.

I use okeefes lip balm, it's the best I've found. Or Nivea cream in the blue tubs. Or lansinoh nipple cream works wonders too.

I think anything is better than Vaseline really, I second the Blistex in the metal tube, I use that when mine get really bad and Carmex for everyday. I do try not to them dry out at all if I can help it, not always practical though.

The best one I’ve found that works overnight is the O’keefe’s lip repair.

I used to be addicted to lip balms. Would get a bit panicky if I didn’t have one on me. Nothing really worked. I stopped using them all, let my lips heal naturally and drink lots of water.

Cerave healing ointment is excellent

Elizabeth Arden 8 HR cream. Expensive but a little goes a long way. I get one every year for Christmas and it lasts me all year.

BrilliantGreenFlamingo · 03/11/2022 13:09

Blistex one in a white tube. Plus drinking loads of water

Drink loads of water and I like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. It works, lasts ages and smells lovely.

SalviaOfficinalis · 03/11/2022 13:15

Blistex “intensive moisturiser” is really good - especially the cherry one.

AutumnLea · 03/11/2022 13:38

Another vote for eight hour cream, amazing stuff.
