Would you wear this...

... if you worked at a bank, which said dress code is smart casual. I was thinking of wearing a blazer over it and a slip underneath.

Would you wear this...

No, because it's see through

But I would not be shocked if someone at work wore it, just don't think it's work wear

JanglyBeads · 02/11/2022 16:05

But with a slip underneath it becomes a non see through top..... so yes, I think

LolaSmiles · 02/11/2022 16:08

With a slip underneath then I would consider it smart casual for work as long as the trousers/skirt were more conservative.

Violettaa · 02/11/2022 16:10

Being see through obviously isn’t a problem if you’re wearing something underneath.

That would be totally fine in all the (many) banks I know.

thanks all! I've recently developed a liking for lace (not helped by a massive Vinted habit) but haven't seen many wear lace outside of weddings/parties etc Good to know it's not unusual to wear something like this to work

Totally fine with cami under and smart jacket with skirt or trousers also smart, even better if jacket and skirt/trousers are a suit.
It's lovely, by the way.

TooMinty · 02/11/2022 16:24

Yes I would. And I do work for a bank, and have seen people wearing similar in our office Smile

ZooTropia · 02/11/2022 17:06

I wouldn't wear it. Looks fuddy duddy

StarlightLady · 02/11/2022 18:28

I work in a professional environment and would wear it to work with a cami without hesitation.

At weekends l might wear it without the cami. So it’s multi functional.

Rebelmcstreettuff · 02/11/2022 18:30

Yes I wear a lot of lace with camis/slips underneath, looks very smart for work.

HuntingoftheSnark · 02/11/2022 18:35

Yes, definitely with a camisole or vest. I love it.

BamBamBilla · 02/11/2022 18:37

No, a bit too Bridget Jones for me.

LondonQueen · 02/11/2022 18:42

It's hideous.

I think op is asking if it's appropriate/smart enough for work not if we personally like it.

That's how I interpreted it.

Not as 'fuddy duddy' as you sound, saying that 😆
