Joules clothing

Can anyone tell me please if Joules clothing is true to size? I've seen a dress I like on Vinted but I've never bought Joules clothing before. It's a jersey style dress but I don't want it skin tight. At the same time I don't like dresses looking too baggy as they make me look bigger than what I am. I'm between a 12 and 14 usually and the dress on Vinted is a large/12.

I'm similar in sizing to you and their size 12 dresses are just right

CraneBoysMysteries · 01/11/2022 21:26

I find their sizing to be generous. I don't think I've ever sent something back as being too small and sometimes have to size down.

I reckon dresses are true to size and trousers can come up a bit big

I'd go up if you are in between. My daughter is a 12 but a 14 Joules looks fine on her too. They are true to size so not a generous fit.

I think it depends on the item tbh, I'm wearing a sweatshirt today in a size 22 (my usual size) and it fits just right. I also have a sweatshirt with a funny collar - almost like a half hood - in a size 20 and it's baggy...

I have sized down for dresses and tops and worked OK. Bought a coat from them n needed my size

Ooo gosh I'm torn! It's a jersey style dress, quite thick cotton I think. That means it can possibly hide lumps and bumps 😂 but the thick material might mean it's less moveable and would lend itself to a bigger size perhaps?!

Agreed with this, dresses true to size, trousers huge!

I'd size down I've only ever bought tops from Joules but find them very generous. I always buy a size 8 from most shops and I have a large bust so sometimes struggle for room there but I can get away with a size 6 from Joules and still have room!

@SimonaRazowska Thank you. I think that's nailed it for me 🙌🏼

I'm 8-10 in most places but 6 in joules dresses

Snugglemonkey · 01/11/2022 22:56

I find joules a bit variable. I know that is not helpful! I mostly go for the hoping it is true to size, but have occasionally had to return and size down. Weirdly, I once had to size up for a Christmas jumper. That was unexpected, but I really liked it.

I would they are true to size, but cut for fairly narrow shoulders.
