Every one is wearing Camera bag?

In last few days anywhere I went I noticed lots ladies are wearing cool little bags with colourful straps. There was this cool lady in my local Boots yesterday swinging this black bag with leopard strap, I couldn’t stop looking at!

Thinking how come on earth I don’t know about these as I’m usually bags mad.
I googled it up and it apparently it’s called a Camera bag.
Anyone here has a nice one?
I’m on a quite a low budget …
I am eying one up in TU ( Sainsburys) a Accessories has few too I like..
Is this just a short lived trend?

I bought a lightly used Pom one from Vinted just yesterday for £25. Good tips on the straps!

They’re not exactly cool but I think they’re ‘cool mum bags’ in the same way Veja were a few years ago. I live in a part of London where everyone wears them. It’s not an achingly hip area yet people still vaguely keep abreast of stuff as we all work in places like Soho a few days a week so we’re not completely clueless either if you see what I mean! So not cool but not completely uncool either!

I like the Apache too, it looks lovely.
I checked Vinted but nothing caught my eye.

I love camera bags though because of the crossbody option. They're so easy to use!

I don’t think it’s coming to an end. Just a lot of fashion yay people abandon a trend once’s it gets ubiquitous.

Cross body’s of any sort will be here to stay for a long time to come though!

I've got one and I like it. It's what I reach for whenever I need a small bag for nipping out of the house or for going somewhere semi smart.

I'm not very fashionable though (even though I love clothes, shoes and bags). I'm just overjoyed to sometimes be able to use a smallish bag after years of lugging around a rucksack full of nappies and changes of clothes.

I just bought one from Accessorize, don't care if I'm late to the party. I've gone for leather not pleather/vegan plastic, and a plain strap rather than patterned, so hopefully it'll look more classic than dated. I cycle to work and carry all my stuff in a pannier, so I need something to keep in the office for keys/wallet/staff badge so I'm not showing up at meetings with a cotton tote!

Hello everyone.
so I popped to my local Sainsburys this morning as I said I have seen they have some bags online.
They had in 2 colours, I was in a rush so grabbed them both at £14 each! so I can try it on proper at home.
Both were the last one, the lady actually got the last one from the back, she said everyone asking about these as bargain and look quite nice, even the size is great.

Intending to return one anyway.
But I originally wanted only the black one however it has black hardware so not really many options to change the strap unless I get black hardware strap( do they sell them actually?
The light colour bag looked much nicer in real life however I am not so keen on the zebra printed strap ( the hardware is gold)

@Squiz81 that must be the previous version as the current ones have 3 compartments.
When I looked them all up, it did come up with different strap and lest compartments, however these were sold out.

my friend posted a group lineup pic on Instagram of a friend’s 40th lunch and every.single.one of them had a camera bag with a jolly strap.

@DillDanding the Marc jacobs ones are definitely not middle aged (let's hope OP isn't either)

I like my jolly middle aged mum bag (and trainers) but do see exactly what you mean! I’ve made peace with it myself because all fashion is tribal really, isn’t it. We tend to dress like our peers. Whether it’s fellow 20 somethings at fashion week or fellow middle aged mums!

So i returned the beige one and kept the black one only, managed to get a replacement strap too. Taking it on the plane soon as my little bag, fits nicely.

I love the Johnny Loves Rosie ones. There's lots of different ones and they do all sorts of changeable straps too.

Inspired by this thread I bought the Tu camera bag today 😂 @Catsforeverinlove where did you get a replacement strap?

Ive got a black Ellie Beaumont bag with a coral & black strap & a gold/taupe strap. Ive also got a khaki green one from Monsoon which i love.

I think the straps are ubiquitous now but the bag shape with a plain strap is a classic.

As usual, the cheaper imitations of the original designer bags have lessened the appeal. Personally, I love the See by Chloe bag but I'm not spending that on a small bag.

I have a Chelsea one from Fablou but they didn't have the strap I wanted so I got one off Amazon (choice of gold or silver hardware). Use it everyday.

Only downside is I'd prefer a zipped interior pocket with room for passports as otherwise it would be perfect for travel.

You've typed it now so if you have Facebook you'll be inundated with adverts soon. I bought one early spring at an agricultural show and somehow fb knew. I've bought several more colours since as a result though. Worth it though as they are the perfect size for me, versatile, can mix and match the strap and colour. Don't care if they go out of fashion as they suit my needs from dog walking to day to day to lunch to going out out!

Maybe it is a passing trend, but I've been using them for about 10 years and love them. I have 5 in different colours and qualities. I like crossbody and they are just right for me.
