Glasses for teens

Where do your teenagers get their glasses from? DD (13) hates all the styles that fit her in our opticians. Adult frames are still too big but children’s are annoyingly themed or otherwise wrong.

Are you sure all the adult frames are too big?

My 11year old DD just got her first pair of glasses and all the adult Specsavers pairs fit her. They just adjusted around the ears.

The same with her friend as she got the same pair 2 weeks later.

Vision express opened the drawer beneath the kids glasses display when we said there was nothing on display that we wanted to try on, and we were after metal framed, rectangular lenses. They found a couple of pairs to try on, so always worth asking.
However, DS has said he is taking his old frames in next time, and is going to ask for new lenses in there, as he loved the frames.

Aged 13, he doesnt fit the men's selection.

Shop around. Ds has been wearing glasses since he was 5. We often have to go to a couple of shops to find what he wants. They are part of his identity as he wears them all the time so he is specific. Recently we bought his from Specsavers which were massively cheaper than the ones on offer in Vision Express.
